Uniform Policy 2009-2010

Elementary School (4-5) 

Girls

Shirts: White Peter Pan Blouse with Green Plaid Jumper; OR White Polo Shirt with Gray or Plaid Shorts or Gray Pants. All students are required to have the Clark monogram on their uniform shirts. Elementary School Girls: Blouse, CMS embroidered on left collar; Polo shirt, CMS embroidered on left front.

Undershirts: Solid white, no P.E. shirts or shirts with emblems or writing. No turtlenecks or long-sleeve shirts allowed under uniform shirts.

All shirts MUST be neat and tucked in at all times. Waistbands/belt loops must be visible.

Socks: Solid white Crew only. (Must be at least 1/3 of the calf.) Socks should not have logos, color, emblems, or monograms; No ankle socks.

Shoes: Black & White Saddle Oxfords (non-athletic) when wearing jumper or pants; Solid white tennis shoes when wearing shorts.                

Belts: Students must wear solid black belts with a small buckle. No ornamental belt buckles will be allowed. Belts must be solid black and must not have metal studs or brads.

Sweaters: Green cardigan

Boys 

Shirts: White polo. All students are required to have the Clark monogram on their uniform shirts. Elementary School Boys: CMS embroidered on left front.

Shoes: Black, low-cut, leather, lace-up, non-athletic shoe when wearing gray slacks; Solid white tennis shoes when wearing shorts.

Middle School (6-8)

Girls

Shirts: White Oxford Shirt (short or long-sleeved). All students are required to have the Clark monogram on their uniform shirts. Middle School Girls:  On the left collar.  

Undershirts: Solid white, no P.E. shirts or shirts with emblems or writing. No turtlenecks or long-sleeve shirts allowed under uniform shirts. On certain days athletes may be allowed to wear the school's athletic jersey over their uniform shirt.

Pants:  Gray Slacks

Skirts or skorts: Green Plaid (Entire School year, no shorter than 3" above the knee)

Socks: Solid white Crew only. (Must be at least 1/3 of the calf.) Socks should not have logos, color, emblems, or monograms; No ankle socks.

Shoes: Black & White Saddle Oxfords, non-athletic.

Monogram: Last name (upper left) embroidered in 1" white block letters on green cardigan and fleece jackets.

Boys

Shirts: White Oxford shirt (long or short sleeved). All students are required to have the Clark monogram on their uniform shirts. Middle School Boys:  On the left front pocket.

Undershirts: Solid white, no P.E. shirts or shirts with emblems or writing. No turtlenecks or long-sleeve shirts allowed under uniform shirts. On certain days athletes may be allowed to wear the school's athletic jersey over their uniform shirt.

Additional important requirements:

 Hair: Student's hair should be of a natural human hair color. Boy's hair must not touch ears, brows or shirt collars, and should be a traditional conservative cut. Girl's hair should be a traditional, conservative hairstyle and of natural human hair color.  Hairstyles should not be disruptive to the educational process.

Jewelry: Earrings: Only stud earrings will be acceptable (no loops or dangling). Girls will wear only one pair of stud earrings - one earring in each ear. Body piercing, other than girl's earrings, will not be tolerated. No exterior body piercing - tongue, nose, etc. Boys will not wear earrings. Bracelets: NO rubber or plastic bracelets, or sweatbands. Necklaces: Necklaces will be allowed only if worn under uniforms, and not disruptive to the educational process. 

Nail Polish: Polish should be clear, natural, or French tip. No nail ornaments, black, or dark nail polish will be tolerated. Boys will not wear nail polish.

Ribbons: Ribbons should be in the school colors: green, white, gray or black. Ribbons should not reach below the shoulders.

Tights: Tights will NOT be allowed.

P.E. Uniforms: Clark's Physical Education Department will sell the required uniforms for P.E.

Writing: No writing on body or uniform.

If parents purchase uniforms from other suppliers, they must match the official Clark Uniform sold by Zoghby's. Variations of the uniform will not be permitted.
